Peloton // Linocut print
The month of July is inevitably connected to the Tour de France.
I’m always looking for forward to watching and listening to the whirring sounds of the wheels of the peloton, the helicopter images of the backs of the riders riding amongst fields of sunflowers, the distant noises the motorcycles and supporters on the side of the road make, the monotonous commentary on the TV coverage, which all makes you doze away once a while in the first few hours. Till suddenly you are awakened by the commentators’ voices getting more excited, you know it’s time sit upright and watch the final kilometers of the race. All this is the recipe for a perfect afternoon 🙂
